The DirecTV Stream Ultimate package allows you to stream a total of 130 channels including Marquee Sports Network and NHL Network, FXM, or Starz Encore for 104.99. Marquee is owned by the Ricketts and the Cubs. The DirecTV Stream Choice package allows you to stream a total of 90 channels including Marquee Sports Network and Cooking, Game Show Network, or Regional Sports Networks for 89.99. Not to mention you have to have an iPhone, I mean if you don’t have an iPhone well you don’t have an iPhone. Long story short the App is straight trash, the network content is hot garbage, and you can’t stream to other devices that don’t have Airplay or AppleTV. With that being said, a lot of times I’m not home, or at a friend’s place, or whatever. The Marquee Sports Network app enables fans in Chicago Cubs broadcast territory to watch live Cubs games and connect to in-depth Cubs coverage.

That’s fine its whatever, cost of being a fan (same as cost of doing business lol). Therefore, I had to use the RCN network in my building to get the games. But, I am a TRUE Cubs fan and schedule and plan my days around Cubs games. Like many, I had cut the cord on traditional cable. But, in my humble opinion the Marquee adventure has been a disaster. I was so excited when I heard the Cubs were going to have their own network similar to the Yankees and the YES network.

Marquee Sports Network, the exclusive TV home of the Cubs, announced that the premium streaming platform Hulu will stream the new regional sports network on. I can almost guarantee that we will all have the same complaints a year from now.

It’s a sad state of affairs that this is how we have to watch games. So make sure you’re not following along on the MLB app, and make sure to turn your text alerts off. Also, I’m not sure if it’s the ad you are forced to watch when you launch a game, but I’m always at least 30 seconds behind real time. The fact that nothing has been done to address the issues, that make up the majority of these reviews, tells you that the Cubs organization really doesn’t care. If you log in via the website, the experience is just as bad.

These issues are experienced across every TV, phone, tablet, computer, and Wi-Fi network. Sometimes I just get audio and no picture. Sometimes it just stutters every 10 seconds. Sometimes when it goes to a commercial, it will never come back. I have NEVER, I repeat NEVER, used this app without having an issue.
